From Lapland Feeling Lodge it is but a few minutes walk to book the reindeer and husky sledging or horse riding experience -the old Lappish ways to move about and transfer goods.

There is still a population of roughly 200 000 reindeers in Finnish Lapland. Nowadays many are used for tourist activities giving extra livelihood for reindeer farmers.

In addition to reindeer and husky farms there are riding stables and schools in Äkäslompolo village. Konijänkkä Animal Park has horse rides, horse sleigh rides, husky rides and reindeer sledging and snowmobile driving for children.
